I Started playing guitar because of George Harrison, I continued to play guitar because of Dave Evans.
I started playing at 11 years old. By the time I was 17, I realized I was not going to be the next Eddie Van Halen. Then in 1980 I heard a record called Boy by an Irish rock band called U2. That album retaught me how to play guitar in a way that I sounded like I knew what I was doing. From there I started to develope my own style but the final touch came when I heard and album call Daydream Nation. The influence of Sonic Youth and their oddly tuned guitars intriuged me so much, I started to retune everyone of my guitars to the point where I forgot how to play in standard tuning. In addition to that, I owned very stomp pedal MXR made so I was never at a loss for new sounds. The rest, as they say, is history!
